Spring is officially here and although we are now on “summer time” there is fortunately still some time for that. In the meantime we can enjoy the much nicer spring weather. As it is getting hotter, so I try to make the meals lighter. Peas are a very springy kind of food so I have […]
Something sweet for the weekend 2
So it is that time of the week again and really want something sweet. Although I try not to eat access calories during the week, weekends are ok, right? 😉 This week I am trying out a new kind of sandwich cookie I haven’t tried before – butter cookies with Nutella. I like them apart […]
DIY – a Computer Case
So I bought myself a new computer – big enough to have a proper screen and small enough to fit easily into my bag. These kinds of purchases are that easy for me to make as the cost is not small and I am, as you know, a bit cheap 🙂 But I need it […]
Teaching Kids about Money
A few years back my eldest asked me why I go to work. I answered her that it is to earn money to buy all the things that we need. A few days later we went to the ATM and I took out some money. She looked very carefully and a little bit later asked […]
What’s for Dinner 10

Something sweet for the weekend
Why buy your cookies when you can bake them yourselves. It is cheaper, takes about 10 minutes (not including baking time, and tastes so much better – believe me! Dear Husband loves cookies and these are his all-time favorites. I make them once in a while and they are always a hit with anyone who […]

What’s for dinner 9
Dear Husband got a pasta machine for his birthday. Or to be more precise; he bought himself a pasta machine for his birthday. I personally think that it is a bit boring to buy you your own gifts, but actually by us having a shared bank account, it doesn’t really matter….
Purim part 2 – the Butterfly
Yesterday I showed you the Shark, today I will show you the Butterfly, the choice of costume by my eldest. Like yesterday, I have found great inspiration on the Internet and found a fantastic tutorial on how to make a Butterfly Costume that I used for inspiration.
