What’s for Dinner 18

June 28, 2014 By: veronicacomment

After 35 years on this earth I have just discovered homemade mayonnaise! Very good for my taste buds but probably less good for my waist line 🙂 In my opinion it tastes so much better than the store bought kind.

In the last year or so I have been buying the organic kind but it really is kind of expensive. The homemade kind cost me about NIS 2 (US dollars 0.6) for about half a cup.

This version takes a few minutes to whip together but is totally an upgrade to any kind of salad; green salad, egg salad or like the potato salad I have featured in this week’s meal plan:

Sunday: Risotto with Peas and Parmesan
Monday: Meat balls in Tomato Sauce and rice
Tuesday: Couscous with vegetables in Coconut milk
Wednesday: Salmon with Green Salad
Thursday: Potato Salad with Homemade Mayonnaise with grilled chicken breasts

Have a great week!
