It is cold (at least by local standards), very wet and dark. These are in my opinion both very good and very bad reasons to bake something sweet and tasty. Ah and also, it has also been a long day 😉
These cookies are really easy to make and I love them and the really great thing about them is that if you make a little bit of an effort you can convince yourself that because that they are with oatmeal they are also very good for you….
Enough with the talk, here’s the recipe:
For about 16 cookies (cost is about NIS 8 (USD 2))
1/2 cup melted butter
3/4 light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
1 egg
1 cup oats
3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 chocolate chip or chopped chocolate
Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar and vanilla and the egg in a bowl. Mix the flour and the baking powder and add it to the bowl together with the oats and chocolate. Mix well.
Place small amounts of cookie dough on a baking sheet with a bit of space between them. Bake the cookies at 170 degrees Celsius for 10-12 minutes and that is that!
