Believe it or not, even I make mistakes when it comes to money. I work as a financial counselor. I teach others the right way to manage financially. I have many years of experience in the finance field. I know all the “rules” of proper financial behavior and I am even kind of cheap by nature. And still, even I sometimes don’t do the right thing!
Sometimes I buy something even though I don’t really need it (or will never even use it)!
Sometimes I forget to pay a bill and have to pay the late fee and interest!
Sometimes I don’t stick to my budget!
Sometimes I let others talk me into doing something or going places with a cost I hadn’t planned on taking.
So now you might ask yourself: what does she want to say with this? I want to say that no one is perfect and that includes myself. Sometimes even though we know what is right and what is wrong and what to do and what not to do, we still end up doing the exact opposite of that. Even though I know what to do and how to do it, I still do not do it.
So, is it a bad thing? In my opinion, not always. Sometimes we are just human beings that are being spontaneous and doesn’t think something through. Sometimes we just get tired doing the right thing all the time…..
Mistakes are not necessarily a bad thing, as long as we don’t do them on a daily basis and as long as we keep learning something from them 🙂
