Spinach and cheese quiche/ קיש תרד וגבינות

quiche

Cost of dish: About 30 shekels (about 9 Dollars)

One of my son’s favorite dishes is this Spinach and Cheese quiche. It comes in many variations and as a rule I simply add more or less the cheeses I have on hand. This is how I made it last time:

Ready-made dough sold in the supermarket

1 packet of Spinach leaves

1 onion cut into small cubes

A bit of butter

4 eggs

1/2 container cottage cheese

50g feta cheese in small cubes

50g fresh mozzarella in small cubes

100g shredded yellow cheese

100ml cream

A bit of nutmeg, salt and pepper
The onion is fried in the butter until soft. Add the spinach leaves (cut them up a little if you want) and stir for a few minutes. Turn off the heat and let stand.

Cut out dough to fit the bottom and the sides of your baking form. Add a border of about 4 cm in height.

In a bowl mix eggs, cheeses, cream and spices. Add the mix to the baking form.

Bake in oven – 200 °C for 30-40 minutes.

Can be served with a salad.
