Why the Best Things in Life are Free

October 3, 2014 By: veronica3 Comments

Since venturing out on this new money-saving, budget following lifestyle my main argument has been that it CAN be done, living on less without compromising on the quality of life.

Sure, it sometimes takes a bit more of planning the grocery shopping and meal planning for example, and sometimes it takes a bit more work to find creative ways to spend less on things like clothes or activities. In the end it does get easier and this past Saturday was a great example of how you can find true happiness without even spending one shekel (or Dollar!).

Last Saturday we went on a walk! Just a walk in the fields behind our house. 2 hours and about 5K of true happiness. There were no phones, no computer or TV, just the four of us in nature with each other. We walked and we ran, we found things and told stories and held a competition of who can scream the loudest….

It sounds simple and it is. We were all in agreement that this was one of the nicest times we spent together as a family. And it didn’t cost a thing!

Have a nice weekend and see you soon,
Veronica

Love this Veronica…a ton of joy can be found in nature. Our family loves it as well.
