Baked Pasta with Chicken

Cost: About 25 Shekels (7 US Dollars)

Olive oil

300 g chicken breast in small cubes

2 garlic cloves garlic minced

1 teaspoon sweet paprika

2 carrots in small cubes

1 can crushed tomatoes

½ teaspoon oregano

100 ml cream

Salt and Pepper

500 g pasta

200 g shredded cheese

Pour a bit of olive oil in a pan and fry the garlic for a minute, then add the chicken and continue fry while stirring for about 5 minutes. Add the paprika and mix well. Add the carrot, tomatoes and oregano and cook on for 10 minutes more. In the end pour in the cream and salt and pepper according to taste.

Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the bag.

Mix the pasta with the sauce in an oven proof dish and distribute the cheese over the dish and bake for about 30 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.

(for a kosher or vegetarian version the chicken can be left out)
