This summer I rediscovered the beach. Although I grew up in a country that has a lot of coast line and now live in one that also has plenty, I was never really a big fan. If people asked me why, I would answer; too much sand! While we are still learning to love each other, this year I feel that I really learned to appreciate the beach.
There is something special about the beach in winter and in the last couple of months we have gone there quite a lot. Not only is it beautiful, but it really clears the head every single time. Even if the atmosphere is not the greatest between the four of us before we go or on the way there, at the beach it just all goes away….
We also collect stuff while at the beach, pretty stones or sea shells and this time I wanted to do something crafty with them. Our fridge is full of clutter and ugly (very ugly) free commercial magnets. I am not even going to post a picture of how it looked 😉 So in an attempt to make it prettier, we made DIY refrigerator magnets out of the stones we collected the last time.
What we used
Stones in all kind of shapes and structures
Small round flat magnets
All purpose glue
Basically we just glued the magnets to the stones and let it dry for a few house and here you have it – new and nice refrigerator magnets for the heavy (!) price of 4 shekels (1 US Dollar)!
