Chimichurri

July 25, 2015 By: veronicacomment

chichurriOn our journey towards preparing more of what we eat ourselves, this time I want to share this recipe with you.
Dear Husband has been in the kitchen and made this great Chimichurri. He is really good at that, trying out new things and as (almost) always it turned out great! It was originally for a family barbeque and although it was great with steak it is great for so much more; for chicken, fish or the best of all – in a sandwich.
Try it, you won’t be sorry. We are adding it to the list of things that are easy, tasty and cheap to make.

Chimichurri

1/3 cup apple vinegar
2/3 cup canola oil
2 cloves garlic
100 grams parsley
A bit of oregano
1 onion
1 red bell pepper
A bit of salt

Chop up the garlic, parsley, oregano, onion and pepper. Mix in the vinegar, oil and salt. Transfer to a jar and keep it in the fridge. It is great right away and even better after a few days!
